Many groups in our country have decided that destroying monuments of our past, relics of our history, is something they should be allowed to do. This is nothing new. When Rome was sacked by Barbarians, historical monuments were destroyed. Nazis burned Jewish books and artifacts to delete those items in history they did not agree with. Many within our own state have vowed that if they are elected, Stone Mountain will be sandblasted, and other monuments throughout the state will be removed.
Senator Jeff Mullis has worked hard to protect historical markers throughout the state of Georgia. Senator Mullis authored, passed and watched Governor Kemp sign into law the Monument Protection Bill.
SENATOR JEFF MULLIS AUTHORED AND PASSED THE MONUMENT PROTECTIOIN BILL. GOVERNOR KEMP SIGNED THE BILL INTO LAW.
