Sen. Mullis Supports Mike Buck as State School Superintendent
ATLANTA (July 7, 2014) – Sen. Jeff Mullis (R -- Chickamauga) hosted a barbeque reception on July 2 in Ringgold on the behalf of Mike Buck, a candidate for state school superintendent. A primary runoff election for the position is set for July 22.
“Mike Buck is my choice for state school superintendent,” said Sen. Mullis. “I’m confident that he will effectively lead our state’s education system. He has over 30 years of experience in education, a proven record for increasing academic performance and a clear dedication to maintaining personal integrity. Join me when I vote for him on July 22.”
Buck has held positions in education with Oglethorpe County, Columbia County, Rome City Schools and the Georgia Department of Education. He is a graduate of The University of Georgia, where he earned his Bachelor’s, Master’s, Educational Specialist and Doctorate degrees.
